Je suis Charlie
Dear Family,
Hello! You have probably heard by now about the shooting at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris. I just wanted to inform you that in regarding with the attacks involving "Je suis Charlie", I am perfectly fine. Right now I am staying very far way in Cap D'ail but my apartment in Paris was only 5.4 miles from Charlie Hebdo's offices. Thankfully I am safe here in Cap D'ail which is over 950 kilometers from the shooting. I think what happened was absolutely terrible and a shock to the world. Freedom of speech is a huge controversy because different countries and cultures don't all share the same opinion about it. We know it should be a right but others may not believe the same. The workers at Charlie Hebdo had every right to write or illustrate those maybe inappropriate themes and our thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of sorrow. I just hope one day we can all come together in peace. Miss you lots
